Design of pressure reducers and stability influences of the downstream line dynamics, applied to automatic gearbox hydraulic control circuits

Pressure components such as reducing valves play an essential part in systems like automatic gearbox hydraulic control circuits. In spite of their simple structure, such components often excite vibrations that will be the cause of disturbance of the normal operation mode.  The work described was undertaken to develop procedures by which the stability of pressure reducing valves could be analyzed at the design stage.
