LMS International announced that Goodrich Corporation’s Space Flight Systems (SFS), Albuquerque, NM, has selected LMS Test.Lab to perform vibration qualification testing and analysis on spacecraft and launch vehicle electronics. Goodrich subjects its electronic systems and actuator products to specific vibration loads that they will experience during real missions. LMS Test.Lab software combined with LMS SCADAS III data acquisition hardware enables Goodrich to accurately and efficiently test, analyze and optimize the structural integrity and the vibration resistance of its products
Goodrich Corporation’s Space Flight Systems (SFS) is a leader in applied engineering for in-flight space data and control electronics. Its products are often mission-critical for spacecraft and satellite missions. Goodrich therefore faces extremely high requirements in terms of reliability and accuracy. Goodrich selected the LMS Test.Lab system for its built-in capabilities to support mission-critical tests with optimal efficiency, and its ease-of-use, allowing operators to run the system with minimal training and minimal room for human errors. Goodrich bases its LMS Test.Lab systems on laboratory and mobile LMS SCADAS III mainframes, offering maximum flexibility to perform tests in its labs and in the field.
Goodrich SFS Management stated “The LMS Test.Lab Environmental software brings significant benefits to Goodrich’s mission-critical testing activities. From tests in the lab to tests out in the field, the LMS systems give Goodrich the mobile scalability and robustness we are looking for, along with confidence in the accuracy of measured data and analysis results.”
Filip Pintelon, Corporate Vice-President and General Manager Test Division at LMS, stated, “Goodrich’s deployment of the LMS Test.Lab solution is another confirmation that the LMS offering is perfectly aligned with the specific challenges of mission-critical environmental test assignments.”
