LMS Continues Building Powerful North American Team

LMS International, maker of breakthrough virtual and physical prototyping products, is expanding its operations worldwide, and is aggressively pursuing its strategy to grow the business in North America. By appointing Greg Hopton to the post of General Manager North America and Mike Albright to the post of Business Development Manager, Engineering Services, LMS underscores the importance that it places on its North American operations.

"Greg will direct the next stage of expansion for LMS in North America, strengthening LMS presence and promoting greater awareness of its groundbreaking next generation product suites for virtual and physical prototyping."

Greg joins LMS from Sika Corporation, where for four years as Vice President Marketing for Automotive, he spearheaded new business development for acoustic, bonding and sealing materials worldwide. 

Hopton obtained his MSME from the University of Cincinnati and taught at its Structural Dynamics Research Lab. Hopton has directed projects ranging from developing modal analysis software to the design and staffing of cutting edge test facilities. Hopton holds 5 patents related to structural reinforcement and sits on the board of the Detroit Chapter of the Society of Experimental Mechanics.  
Mike Albright joins the fast-growing Engineering Services division of LMS North America as Business Development Manager after a long association as a customer. Mike comes to LMS from Roush Industries, where he was Manager of Advanced Projects. In this post, he addressed a diverse range of N&V control issues including powertrain NVH, vehicle NVH, brake noise, engine accessory noise, test procedure and facility development, NVH training and a number of manufacturing related quality issues. He holds a BSME from the University of Cincinnati and MSME from Purdue University.
Albright said, "I wanted to get onboard with the worldwide leader in functional performance engineering, to help deploy the new capabilities of LMS technology, and grow the Engineering Services business. LMS products and services have the pedigree to hold top talent to the company, and leave a lasting imprint of excellence with the client." 
Jef Vandenhout, Director of Engineering Services said, "We are very excited Mike has joined LMS.  His technical expertise and broad knowledge of automotive applications will allow us to work with our customers to create unique solutions for design and co-development of their products."
