Simulation of Electromechanical and Piezoelectric Actuators in LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim

This paper deals with the description of the general philosophy of the LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim environment and the way it is now used in the development and design of Fluid Power and Hydraulic Systems. The concept of Graphical multi-port Modeling language applied in the Hydraulic Component Design library has now been extended to the description of Electromechanical as well as PZT actuators.
