Coffee machine noise: beamforming 

This example shows a coffee machine in operation, measured with the circular LMS Test.Lab High Definition Acoustic Camera array inside a semi-anechoic chamber. The time signal (figure 9) shows a number of distinct, sequential, stationary phases. First, coffee beans are crushed (figure 10, left) while water is heated in the back of the machine (right). Then the coffee machine operates some mechanical switches (figure 11, left), and finally pours coffee into the cup (right).
