The Internal Combustion Engine Solutions allows users to model and design comprehensive engine systems based on physics-based model components, from air management and combustion up to ECU calibration. The solutions are based on the integration of dedicated modules from IFP (Institut Français du Pétrole). These provide a flexible environment for designing and optimizing “virtual” vehicle, engine, and automotive subsystem concepts. Users can study the couplings with subsystems for fuel injection, vehicle thermal management, lubrication, etc. Model definitions can be adapted to a wide range of usage scenarios and the impact of applying advanced technologies can be analyzes on the spot.
