LMS Test.Lab Qualification Testing

With LMS Test.Lab Qualification Testing, test engineers can qualify the usage of the test item under normal and maximal load circumstances, and measure its performance over its expected lifetime using a Closed Loop Vibration Control system. Such systems are used in all industry segments: from space hardware test centers, over automotive components, field measurement equipment, to portable consumer electronics development labs. The control strategies applied are also ideally suited for Satellite Component Qualification and Acceptance tests that verify the resistance of satellite instruments against launch environments.

LMS Test.Lab Qualification Testing is particularly useful for repetitive vibration qualification testing of items of a similar nature. Engineers can conduct the testing as a last check of the robustness of a given design in the final prototype stage or as a quality-monitoring job in a production process.

Vibration qualification testing is typically conducted against a set of testing standards, and LMS Test.Lab Qualification Testing includes all functionalities required for the MIL STD 810 (US) or GAM EG-13 (France) standards. Examples of typical tests are shock (both classical and SRS), sine and random, combined mode excitation (such as sine on random on random) and life profile testing.

LMS Test.Lab Qualification Testing offers a high degree of flexibility in setup definition to support non-standard specifications, allowing to apply more complex test profiles, derived from field data using test tailoring.

  • Allows running very long duration tests with full security
  • Easy-to use, the native MS Windows software requires little training
  • Automation frees engineers from tests that are complex - but otherwise ‘routine’
  • Built-in traceability for better process control: from plot, to setup, to transducer serial numbers and operators
