The LMS Test.Xpress NVH Troubleshooting Analyzer is a powerful tool for rotating machinery test and analysis according to synchronous and asynchronous measurement techniques. With LMS Test.Xpress, rotating machinery test and analysis in no longer a complex task. Test engineers can now perform the complete signature testing in an automated fashion with easy operations and application focus.
Thanks to its real-time oscilloscope capability, users can visually validate the incoming time data from the speed and its corresponding response channels while in parallel the order domain data is measured. Operating on the LMS SCADAS Mobile front end, the software runs on a 4-channel unit offering up to 102.4 kHz sampling rate per channel, 24 bit resolution, 105 dB signal to noise ration, 2.2 Msamples/s throughput rate, 2 dedicated tacho conditioning inputs and various signal conditioning on response channels (V, ICP, MIC, charge & strain) – all bundled into a fully rugged and ultra portable front-end.
An integrated “gap-free” recording of time data, followed by automatic storage to disk gives users full access to the raw data for future reference and analysis. Advanced triggering capabilities with pre- and post-trigger allow the system to operate independently, and start data recording when a specific event occurs.
LMS Test.Xpress NVH Troubleshooting Analyzer measures data that are synchronously sampled with the RPM tracking parameter; being run-up, run-down or run-up/down. During a run, time data are re-sampled in real-time into the angle domain, from which a leakage free orders can be derived. Rotational speed can be recorded and tracked using the dedicated high-speed tacho channel or the standard input channels on an input module. For the latter, a dedicated numerical processing function allows on-line conversion of tacho pulses into rotational frequency. On-line visualization of order data is provided in both 2D display, scrolling color-map and even re-sampled time blocks. All NVH Troubleshooting data can be A-, B- or C-weighted and displayed during measurement. Furthermore, you can perform narrow-band frequency analysis, real-time analysis of FFT’s, PSD’s, Crosspowers, FRF’s, coherences, etc. A basic modal testing using impact hammer or shaker excitation technique is supported to quickly determine resonances, damping values or harmonic content from the frequency spectrum.
To satisfy novice and skilled engineers, the LMS Test.Xpress NVH Troubleshooting Analyzer is equipped with the “toolbar automation” tool. This allows the predefinition of a test with specific measurement settings, preferred data visualization format, appropriate numerical functions for data analysis and a company style report. The predefined test sequence is executed in a 3-click user interface.
LMS Test.Xpress is an extremely flexible solution and can be used for a wide range of applications; from noise & vibration troubleshooting and refinement work to data collection for data analysis or standardized company procedures.
